“Strategic Pivot: Elevating Our Focus to FAA-Compliant Legal Documentation”
Over the past several years as an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that there is rarely a straight path in business. Success requires constant evaluation, adaptation, and the willingness to pivot when the market demands it.
This past year presented significant challenges within the drone industry, particularly with the increasing number of non-compliant and unlicensed operators providing services without adhering to FAA regulations. In industries such as real estate, roofing, and construction, many are choosing convenience over compliance — which has made it increasingly difficult for legitimate, certified operators to compete on equal footing.
Rather than compromising standards or lowering expectations, I have chosen to pivot once again — strategically and intentionally.
I am rebranding my company to focus on FAA-compliant accident scene documentation and aerial evidence services for legal professionals. This direction aligns directly with my commitment to regulatory compliance, professionalism, and producing court-ready documentation that meets a higher evidentiary standard.
This is a significant step forward, and one I find both purposeful and professionally rewarding.
While I will continue to offer additional aerial services when appropriate, my primary focus moving forward will be serving the legal community and establishing a strong presence within this specialized niche.

Our Story, Our Vision
“I’m just a veteran building a second mission — one built on compliance, credibility, and service.”
American Drone Team was not built from a business plan.
It was built from transition.
After retiring from the United States Air Force, I faced the same question many veterans do: What’s next? I had spent decades serving something larger than myself. I wasn’t ready to stop serving — I just needed to find a new way to do it.
So I started fresh.
I launched American Drone Team with a simple goal: help people, build something honest, and create opportunity for veterans who, like me, were searching for their next mission.
Over this past year, we have had the privilege of serving primarily 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations — especially those supporting our military and veteran communities. Capturing the work they do, highlighting their impact, and telling their stories through aerial and ground documentation has been deeply rewarding. Those moments — the first-time events, the kids’ programs, the community gatherings — they matter. They remind me why I started.
But entrepreneurship is rarely a straight line.
This past year has also been humbling. The drone industry is crowded, and increasingly filled with operators who bypass FAA regulations and professional standards. Competing in that environment without compromising integrity is not easy.
I had a choice: lower the bar — or raise it.
I chose to raise it.
American Drone Team is now strategically pivoting toward FAA-compliant accident scene documentation and aerial evidence services for legal professionals. This direction allows us to operate at the highest standard of compliance, accountability, and credibility — values I carried in uniform and refuse to leave behind.
This is more than a business adjustment. It is a recommitment to doing things the right way — even when it’s harder.
We will continue to serve our community where we can, but our primary focus now is delivering court-ready, defensible documentation that attorneys and legal teams can trust.
I am not just building a drone company.
I am building something sustainable — something that creates opportunity, restores mission, and reflects the discipline and integrity veterans are known for.
